We were honoured to be asked to headline the inaugural Noisy Night organised by Noisy Zine. The evening was in aid of local HARP (Homeless Action Resource Project) and £230 has been donated. Thanks to everyone involved!
Return of the Furies set a frantic pace, mixing leviathan Metallicaesque riffage with no-nonsense punk sensibility. They also won a toy pig on their first trip to the Southend arcades.
Next up, Trash Monroe. Think dark and moody, hard and heavy fronted by gothic-feminine melodies and you're about halfway there. Awesome.
After that start we felt we had a lot to live up to! The good vibes flowed, Colin the Clanger crowed and the set flew by in a haze. The Fool & His Son was probably the closest to how it should sound and The Cold burned bright as the evening faded away.
Noisy Night. A seminal blend of punk, funk and skunk.
Again! Again!
ps. You know the night is going to go well when the music starts with Janes Addiction.
